The eyes are indeed the windows to our soul. Also, the best way to get to know someone is to look them in the eyes. Gooorl, you can’t go batting those cranky lashes no more. You see, it’s imperative to have incredibly pretty eyelashes. It accentuates your facial features and makes your eyes look brighter.

 

Not all are blessed with long and full eyelashes. I remember trying to put mascara on and always curl them every day so they’ll look longer and thicker. I once accidentally cut my eyelashes in half with a dodgy pair of curlers. You probably have your mishaps when it comes to the journey of having a great pair of lashes. I mean, there are indeed a lot of products that help grow them faster, but it’s always safe to go natural.

 

With that said, here’s a compilation of some tips and tricks for a better pair of eyelashes!

 

COMBING

It’s like doing your hair. Brushing or combing eyelashes regularly can stimulate growth and distribute natural oils evenly and thus making it more moisturized.

CLEANSING

Well, you don’t want to sleep if you still have hair spray on, right? It’s quite similar. Sleeping with mascara on can clog your follicles and might cause your lashes to fall out.

APPLY OILS

Oils such as castor oil, olive oil, and coconut oil promotes growth and keeps your follicle healthy. Just dab it using Q-tips and apply evenly. You can also use vaseline (forever beauty essential) or some aloe vera gel.

MASSAGING

Pamper your eyelashes with a light massage (just around the eyelids). This hack increases blood flow and circulation, which is good for hair growth. Within the day, avoid excessive rubbing of the eyes.

TAKING A MAKEUP BREAK

Replace your mascara every 3-6 months to avoid eye infection. Have some days without makeup, so your pretty eyelashes can rest. Some components of mascaras can dry out your lashes and can make them fragile.
