What makes a woman a woman? Is it the way she dresses, the way she acts, or the way she perceives herself? Living in a rapidly changing society has put such a toll and pressure on how women see their roles and capabilities. It’s time to take a step over other people’s metaperceptions on who you are and how you should be.

This September, we stand as witnesses to the becoming of another woman — someone who has the power and authority on who she wants to become. To own womanhood is for her to define and redefine. STAIL Icon Kyline Alcantara is ready for every opportunity that knocks on her door. After all, she’s a woman and a lady of her own. Her becoming is her personal experience. You can’t manipulate her because she’s her own woman.

This is the start of BECOMING.

WOMAN

She is THE woman dressed in power and authority with a suit of emancipation from the far-fetched perceptions of society.

She is the epitome of strong femininity. Being a woman is not about one’s color or gender. It will never be about her biological or physical appearance. A woman is above all of that. It is the way she thinks, the way she speaks, and how she wants to be perceived in the society she’s in. Society doesn’t hold any power over a woman. Let her live her life, at her own rhythm, and at her own pace.

She is beauty and she is grace. She can be what she wants to be. She has her own weakness but she’s a man’s equal.

People may call her names, attack her with daggers, and pierce her heart with words. But she will not frail and these will be her drive to keep the fire burning until these wretched words melt and turn into her own sword.

“I like to think that the world and this industry is like a jigsaw puzzle. We have different cuts, edges, and sizes, but at the end of the day when the game is over and it’s time to put things away, we are all on the same box. If it’s time to assemble us, we may have a difference but when we are together, we connect and complete each other and make a wonderful masterpiece.”

“Let’s take one wave at a time. I want to be surprised. Let’s take and dwell with what the world can offer to me because my older friends told me that’s where I can build myself as an adult by overcoming those experiences.”

LADY

She is the golden lady illuminated with love, confidence, grandeur, and pleated power.

This month’s golden lady has rules of her own. It’s not about sitting properly, not getting her clothes wrinkled, nor saying the nicest things. She’s a woman who is classy but dares to fight back when she needs to. She’s a lady with power — refined but is defined by standards of her own.

STAIL.PH loves a lady who remains authentic. It’s about honoring herself despite the flaws and imperfections. That’s what makes her attractive. She knows her boundaries and is familiar with her properties. She’s become the lady who knows which place to grow and which part to let go.

She does her own thing in her own classy way.

“There will always be people who will belittle you. Always. But, don’t listen to them. Listen to that little voice inside your heart that’s telling you that you can, because that little voice will soon turn to a roar and it’ll help you to keep going.”

“Many are not okay with what’s happening right now and it’s completely normal and that’s not a sign of weakness. Rather, a sign of courage and bravery that you faced your feelings and that you’re working on it. Let’s ask someone today if they’re okay and you’ll be surprised at their replies.”
