If you’re anything like me, getting a haircut (or making a drastic change) happens when I want to reinvent myself. When I’m frustrated over a lot of things, I get a haircut so I can feel as if I still have control over my life. It’s not a cure, but at least it leaves me feeling new and refreshed even for a short while.


As 2020 starts, there’s a whole bunch of people jumping on the “new hair, new me” trend. People have been chopping off their long locks for a blunt bob, some choose to have bangs, and even more, are getting their hair colored. If you’re looking to try something new for your hair this year, but are still unsure about which direction you should go, worry not; we’ve rounded up some cuts and ‘dos for you to consider.




Long, tapered, and messy—fringes are the way to go if you want bangs but are too lazy to maintain them.





Chin-length bobs

Long bobs were big in 2017, and while the style carried over in 2018, we’re leaving it there. This year, chin-length bobs of all textures are everything.





Mid-length curls

If you have a mop of small curls, maintaining it mid-length is more your style.
