Last December 10, the British Fashion Council held its annual British Fashion Awards, honoring some of the industry’s biggest names in the past year. Among the winners were Kaia Gerber as Model of the Year, Kim Jones of Dior Homme as Trailblazer of the Year, and Givenchy Artistic Director Clare Waight Keller as the 2018 British Designer of the Year. Keller’s award was presented by the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, whose wedding gown was made by Keller.
The British Fashion Awards was held in partnership with Swarovski, and celebs and models walked the red carpet clad in dazzling custom atelier Swarovski gowns. Here are eight of our favorite fashion moments.
Kaia Gerber in Alexander McQueen
Model of the Year Awardee Kaia Gerber wore a sheer dress with metal sequin embroideries and cut-outs that made a strong mermaid chic vibe.
Aquaria in Matty Bovan
From winning RuPaul’s Drag Race to being hailed as a breakout red carpet star, Aquaria sure knows how to make heads turn with this punk-inspired green ball gown with floral appliqué accents. Adding more to the drama are her leather gloves and pumps.
Lana del Rey in custom Gucci
Simple yet striking, Lana del Rey’s Gucci ensemble—a lurex gown and a blue velvet cape—made her look every bit like royalty.

Adut Akech in Valentino
Metallic foil never looked this good. Adut Akech knows how to make an entrance, and this gold lace paneled dress from Valentino is the way to do it.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Givenchy
Designed by British Designer of the Year Clare Waight Keller, Rosie’s black, purple, and pink-scaled dress is the right fit for her.

Cindy Crawford is still every inch a supermodel in her black velvet gown with a thigh-high slit from Marchesa, proving yet again that age is just a number.
Kendall Jenner in Swarovski
Kendall Jenner has been known to dress in sheer and bejeweled gowns, and this time is no different. Her sheer golden Swarovski dress featured a very high slit and an opening in the back, a classic sexy Kendall Jenner look.
