COVID-19 is causing a huge crisis around the world. Countries and cities have issued lockdowns to prevent the spread of the virus, Metro Manila included. Along with this shutdown comes a mass spread of another disease that could potentially lead people to death. It’s called “Nothingus Todo-isis” more commonly known as boredom.
Thankfully for you, we’re here to provide you with ways to avoid this terrifying disease.
Do Your Chores
Yep. That’s the first place to start. You know what they say, “A clean home is a happy home.” Sweep the floor. Mop it. Do it twice. Do the laundry. Do your brother’s laundry. Do your neighbor’s laundry. Do it twice.
Gather your family and play some fun boardgames. Play Monopoly and pretend you’re getting richer as the stock market drops. Get the Game of Life cuz that’s as much life you’re going to get until April. Play Uno with your family. If you live alone, well guess what? You already won! Cuz you’re uno for the next few weeks.
Watch A Movie/Series
Get snug with your partner and watch a nice romantic movie that sets the mood. But remember to practice social distancing. Stay 5 feet apart and just do air hugs. If you live alone, this is a perfect time to watch other people be lovey dovey and remember how single you are.
Be An Artist/Architect/Fashion Designer
Embrace the arts. Solitude is a great opportunity to express your inner unstable mentality and transform it into something beautiful for people to behold. All you have to do is grab a brush, a pen, or a pencil, and a piece of paper. Paint the inner joy or heartaches you have in your heart. Sketch the dream house you wish you had right now. Design that dress you wish you could wear but never will because you simply won’t fit.
Learn Something New
TV series, movies, games, and TikTok isn’t the only thing on the internet. There are many ways for you to learn something new. Watch an educational YouTube video or ask Google the questions you’ve always wanted the answers to. For example, did you know there are sharks with feet that walk on sand? Yeah. Google it.
But in all seriousness though. COVID-19 is a disease without a cure. Do your part. #StaySafe and #StayAtHome.
