Sometimes, a museum can be a place to escape to for quiet time and inspiration. Lucky for us, there are enough museums around for that.

Whether you’re having writer’s block or just need some new perspective,  these museums can get you out of your rut.

Located at the fringes of Makati’s central business district, Ayala Museum is famous for its dioramas displaying highlights in Philippine history, as well as gold accessories from the pre-Spanish period, an extensive collection of Chinese and Southeast Asian ceramics, and paintings from the masters Amorsolo and Luna. Though the museum has been closed for renovation since June, you can still walk around the gardens behind it. Meanwhile, the museum’s activities continue through its Ayala Museum On-The-Go, a program that promotes arts and culture through online and off-site platforms. The museum is reopening in 2020.
